The Fort Lee Police Training Division is responsibl e for the scheduling of mandated and elective courses for all personnel. Officers receive the best training possible, even if they have to attend classes out of state. The importance of having well trained personnel is quite evident, looking at past events affecting other police departments.
This division is also responsible for grant writing and applicant background investigations.
In regards to grant writing, this unit seeks out all available grants, whether local or Federal, that can be applied far to help police our community. In fact, one of the grants awarded helped build this web site. The division also works with various other town services and is liaison to the department of health, borough attorneys, emergency management, and local hospitals. |
