   The Fort Lee Police Department is regulated under NJ Department of Personnel. As such we may only hire off the Certification list provided to the appointing authority, the Borough of Fort Lee. Applications are normally announced at the end of every other year on DOP’s website.

   Applications are also available in local libraries before the Spring deadline. The test in the Fall of that year and the results are good for 2 years.

   There are many other non-civil service departments whose hiring process is referred to as Chief’s Tests. These may be run by NJ Chief of Police Association.
